A Note from the Founder
Kotaro Asahina / Artist and Recording Engineer
Welcome. Thank you for finding your way to Curanz Sounds.
I am Kotaro Asahina, the artist who runs Curanz Sounds.
What Curanz Sounds Is
Curanz Sounds is a coined name, drawn from the Portuguese word CURA, meaning healing. It began as a slightly unusual label for healing music, a place devoted to the study of restorative sound.
In 2026, I began to wonder whether it could be more than a music label, whether it could become a place that stays close to your life. With that wish, it was reborn into the form it has now.
Holding This World a Little More Lightly
Behind this change is something that happened in me. I came to see the workings and the rules of this world from a deeper place.
Depending on the person or the age, some might call this awakening.
Yet from the moment I could view the world from a little above it, reality began, strangely, to move in a different way. To be precise, the only thing that changed was the way I held my own awareness. And still, the wishes I sent to the universe came back at a speed I could not have imagined, and I began to feel, almost to see, the energy of love and gratitude moving through the space around me.
What I Want to Share With You
To you, who have found your way here, there is something I want to say first.
It is this. Please do not take the word awakening so heavily.
A person who has awakened is not greater, and a person with intuition is not superior. You and I, all of us, are only in the state of being here. Nothing more, and nothing less.
So there is no need to brace yourself as someone special and chosen, that idea does not really exist. And just as much, there is no need to shrink, telling yourself you have no particular gift.
Steve Jobs and Elon Musk are riding the laws of the universe and enjoying this world with skill. They are not beings set apart.
For the same reason, there is no need to lean hard on a spiritual leader who wears the air of being special.
What matters is to keep a dialogue with your own inner self, and to connect the universe with the being inside you.
To be here, now. That state alone is everything.
Is This World a Virtual Reality?
Yes. It is a virtual reality.
A virtual world, projected from the universe onto the earth, onto the dimension we call the physical.
This is something I have watched ever since my university years, when I read a theory said to have been set down by a Russian physicist, known as Transurfing. The laws he describes seemed to me to trace this virtual world with surprising fidelity. So I took them up readily when ordering my own thoughts, and I came to cite them often when I explained the workings of this world to others.
Ever since, I have kept testing and verifying, in my own way, whether this really is a virtual reality. And only recently did I come to know that the mechanism does seem to be working, without any fanfare.
On Knowing
Knowing is a deeply important idea.
The knowing I mean is not memorizing with the head. It is to receive, in a deep place in the heart, that it is already so.
Strangely, a person begins to receive only what the reality they have deeply known requires. Walking the very same streets, the one who thinks there is nothing here and the one who knows that something good is surely coming will meet different sights, different people, different words caught in passing. Have you not had an experience like that?
I see this world as a layering of one great working, one set of functions. The working of your heart, the working of the universe, and even what people have long called God, are one working, moving on some layer. So there is no need to stiffen and cling to anything. You have only to choose again, with a light hand, what you will know as you live.
Choose the reality you wish for the way you would choose a scene on a stage. Then know it as already so. Little by little, the scenery that this reality needs will come back to you. This is not magic. I feel it is a calm mechanism, built into this world from the very start.
A Place Where You Can Be As You Are
To be honest, the readings and the charts here are all only a doorway.
The Four Pillars, numerology, and tarot are mirrors that reflect the blueprint you have carried from the beginning. From there, you reread that blueprint with kindness, and you choose again, with a light hand, the reality you wish for. Curanz Sounds is a place where you can build up that small practice at your own pace.
Here there is nothing to rush you and nothing to frighten you. No one will tell you that you are wrong. Müri, the AI guide, never declares and never pushes. With kindness, at your side, Müri looks over the blueprint together with you.
And our origin, the healing sound, is always near, ready to stay close on a tired night.
Please, Take It Lightly
No special preparation is needed, and no resolve.
First, for free, take a look at your blueprint. If something in you moves, go on to what follows. If you do not feel like it, another time is perfectly all right.
This is a place where you can be as you are.
Whenever it may be, I will be waiting for you to come back.
I Have Lived With Sound
That the origin of Curanz Sounds is the healing sound has much to do with my own path.
I was, before anything else, a pianist who studied ethnomusicology at a music university. I searched for improvisation in Sweden, made an album in Cologne, in Germany, and there studied the physics of sound. After returning to Japan, I met the world of Kaneda-style DC recording, which pursues the purity of sound to its very limit, and I studied under its foremost figure, Akihiko Goto, and inherited his craft. Later I formed the art workshop Pinocoa, recording and sending out into the world many kinds of music, tango, classical, and early music among them.
To handle sound with endless care. That long accumulation lives on in every single note that plays through Curanz Sounds.
And now, alongside Curanz Sounds, I am raising another place. It is called Kuon R&D, a platform for musicians that brings the instruments of music scattered across the world together, with care, inside a single browser. From the look of the screen to the core that processes the sound, I design and write it on my own.
To play music, to record it, and to give it shape in software. These may look scattered, yet within me they are joined by a single wish, to bring the sound and the tools that are needed straight to the people who need them. Curanz Sounds, too, is another form born of that same wish.
